No, never. Unlike traditional luggage tags, QR-Rescue tags allow you to keep your address private. You can choose to display just your first name, a phone number, or nothing at all—relying entirely on our private messaging feature.
How do QR codes work?
A QR code is like a digital shortcut. When a finder scans the code on your tag with their smartphone camera, it instantly opens a secure webpage specific to your item. From there, they can see the details you've shared or send you a message to reunite you with your stuff.
Does Qr-rescue insure lost items?
No. QR-Rescue is a lost-and-found solution that helps finders contact you directly. We do not provide insurance coverage for lost or stolen items.
How do I use the QR code?
It's simple! When you receive your stickers or tags, you'll scan them once to link them to your account. Then, you just stick them on your valuables. You can update the contact settings for any tag at any time through your dashboard.
What if someone scans it?
If someone finds your item and scans the tag, they will see a "Lost Item" page. Depending on your settings, they can either call you directly or send a secure message. You'll get an instant notification so you can arrange to get your item back.
Can I update my details?
Yes. You can update the contact information displayed when your tag is scanned at any time via your dashboard. The QR code on your tag remains the same, so there is no need to replace it.
